What you need

  • A recent Mac or Windows PC. On Mac, Apple Silicon (M1 or later). On Windows, a modern 64‑bit machine running Windows 10 or 11.
  • The AI analyst is optional. It’s a one‑time 5.0 GB download that uses about 6 GB of memory while it writes. It needs roughly 6 GB of free disk space. Turn it off and every dashboard, budget, and forecast still works.

After you download

  1. Open it. On Mac, drag Maali into your Applications folder. On Windows, run the installer. The first time, your computer may ask you to confirm opening an app from outside its store. The help page shows the one‑time step.
  2. Follow the setup assistant. It asks where to keep your data and which accounts you have. No sign‑in, nothing to create.
  3. Import a statement and your dashboard fills in. Your 30‑day trial starts then, not the moment you download.
